How Is Sheet Metal Cut?

Every sheet metal job starts on one of our CNC fiber or CO2 lasers. Flat blanks are nested to make good use of each sheet, and every laser has crane-assisted loading so full sheets move on and off the machine safely. Learn more about our laser cutting services.

How Is Sheet Metal Formed and Bent?

Cut blanks go straight to our CNC press brake department, where experienced brake operators bend them into brackets, channels, boxes and enclosures. We also roll and form tube when a design calls for it. See our press brake forming page for details.

Welding and Assembly

Formed parts are joined by our AWS-certified welders using MIG, TIG, spot and stud welding, then assembled with hardware, sub-assemblies and components. Repeat production parts can run in our robotic welding cells. Visit our welding services page to learn more.

Finishing

When parts need a finish, we coordinate powder coating, wet painting, plating, galvanizing and grinding/deburring through our network of finishing partners so parts arrive ready to install.

From Prototype to Production

We build single prototypes and short runs to prove out a design, then carry the same part into repeat production. Because cutting, forming, welding and assembly all happen under one roof, there are no hand-offs between vendors as your volume grows.
